Hello Friends of North Brook Farm,

Our seasonal Holiday Shoppe is officially open!  The hours this year are Fri-Sun, 12-4, now until Christmas.  There are a couple of things to know if you’re planning to visit.

First, the bridge just south of our farm is still closed.  In fact, the repair work has not even begun.  To get here, you need to access South Street from the north end of the street, at the junction of Linden St and Rt 62.  If you normally come from the south side of town (Rt 290, etc.), you will need to drive around the block to get to this junction.  Note that there is a detour sign at the north end of South St, as well as a large sign that says “BRIDGE OUT, ½ MILE AHEAD, LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY”.  Consider yourself local traffic and proceed to drive through.

I have some directional signs posted to help you, please look for them:

The second thing to note before visiting is that we’ve moved our Shoppe across the street from its usual location.  The physical address is 95 South Street.  If you’re concerned about getting parked in, you may still park in the driveway at 96 South Street where there is a bit more room.  The new location is more accessible than our old basement Shoppe, and will be warmer than our Pandemic Era outdoor setup.  It also allows me to extend the hours, and open up on demand if needed.  So, please reach out if you can’t make it during the official open hours.  We can try to arrange another time for you.

The Shoppe is well stocked right now, even though not all of our product has made it to our online shoppe yet.  I will hopefully have the site more up to date by next weekend.

This past fall, we introduced new nesting balls.  They are stuffed with unspun alpaca fiber, perfect for your backyard birds to grab a tuft or three for nesting material.  They are $15 each.  The birds love having soft, warm alpaca to line their nests!

We are on track to join the Wayland Winter Farmers’ Market 2025 Season, beginning in January.  Our WWFM schedule is loaded into the calendar on our events page, including the TWO very popular Farm Fiber Days!
